Bobcats Sponsor a 'Turkey Shoot' for Thanksgiving

On Friday October 9th prior to the start of the third period the Elliot Lake Bobcats had a unique 'Turkey Shoot' where randomly drawn numbers of season ticket holders were given a chance to win a turkey by sliding a frozen turkey along the ice from the blue line into the net.  Seemed like an easy task, or was it.  Just three of the nine selected managed to slide that old frozen turkey into the net. The Mayor, Honourable Rick Hamilton brought in two "ringers" to help him win a turkey, which he immediately donated to the Food Bank. Well done Rick!
